This weekend was BarCamp Canterbury 8, an unconference that I have been helping with for quite a number of years. Unconferences are very informal events, and great opportunities for people to practice their speaking skills and meet some great people. If there is a BarCamp happening near you I would really recommend popping along.

This was the first time the even has run in person since lockdown, and whilst the turnout was a little lower than hoped, everyone made great use of event and jumped in with both hands. Allan did a great job organising and running the event.

This year I gave a talk on home automation with Home Assistant, which I have included here for posterity.
